Thinking of moving to Warwickshire?

Warwickshire is a great place to live and work. It’s at the heart of the motorway network (both Leamington Spa and Warwick are just off the M40 with the M42, M6, M5 and M1 all accessible) and Stratford, Coventry and Birmingham are within easy reach, both by road and by train.

Industry, particularly automotive, is booming in the area. Jaguar and Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo all have a strong presence here – and one of the country’s best loved cooker brands, Rangemaster, has its headquarters in Clarence Street in Leamington.

There is a wealth of local attractions – from the castles in Kenilworth and Warwick to all-year-round entertainments and arts at Warwick Arts Centre (part of the University), the Royal Spa Centre in Leamington and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre at Stratford-upon-Avon.

We’ve included some of the best things about living and working in the area on this page – but to get a real feel for Warwickshire, why not spend some time here and see for yourself?

Warwick Gates - one of the most popular residential estates in the area

We chose to position our office close to the shops and Family Health Centre on Warwick Gates, one of the most popular residential estates in the area. We’re just a few minutes away from the Nuffield Fitness & Wellbeing Centre, a superb facility with a fully equipped gym, swimming pools, sauna and spa and a dedicated team of qualified health and nutrition professionals.

While we actively market many properties on Warwick Gates, we also have a wide range of houses and flats for sale and let throughout Warwickshire at any one time.

You’ll be able to search for properties in Leamington, Warwick, Wellesbourne, Southam and beyond using our comprehensive online search facility – or you could always pop into the office and speak to the team. We can help you find a property so much quicker if we have a real feel for what you’re looking for.

Working in Warwick, Leamington and Coventry

Warwickshire is home to some of the largest international companies in the world.

IBM and Volvo Group UK both have centres in Warwick and the National Grid Headquarters is also based there. ConocoPhillips has an office on the Warwick Technology Park and the head office of Jewson, the UK’s leading supplier of timber and building products, is on Binley Business Park in Coventry.

Wolseley UK is one of the largest distributors of building products in the world and has a whole network of offices in Leamington. Jaguar and Land Rover’s large administrative and manufacturing facility is located in Gaydon, which is also home to the Aston Martin Headquarters, with its state-of-the-art production facility and design studio.

Just a short way out of Leamington, on the A429 in Radford Semele, is Ricardo’s engineering research centre - and Millward Brown, a global market research agency specialising in advertising, marketing communications, media and brand equity research, has a large office on Warwick’s Tachbrook Park.

But it’s not just global businesses that are attracted to Warwickshire. Both Warwick and Leamington are renowned for their many interesting independent shops, bars and restaurants, leaving residents spoiled for choice!

Local attractions

Warwickshire’s certainly not short of tourist attractions – from Warwick Castle to Shakespeare’s birthplace, there’s a lot to see and do.

Theatre and the arts

Warwick Arts Centre has a year-round programme of comedy, music, dance and art exhibitions. Slightly closer to home, the new look Spa Centre in Leamington holds regular comedy nights, and stages pantos, tribute acts and seasonal films.

For live music and exhibitions, the NIA and the NEC are just a short train ride away and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the most famous classical theatre in the world, has a packed programme of plays. Stratford is also home to The Courtyard Theatre and The Swan, and you can enjoy a pre-show supper at one of the many restaurants in the town.

The Leamington Assembly is fast becoming one of the most popular live music venues in the region. It won the coveted Music Week Award for the ‘Best Live Music Venue in 2010 and the award for ‘Best Live Entertainment’ at the 2009 Godiva Awards.

Culture and history

Warwick Castle is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country – you can often find jousting competitions and falconry taking place in the grounds. It is also a popular venue for some of the biggest names in music and outdoor classical concerts in the summer, usually topped off with lavish fireworks finales!

Set in beautiful countryside, Kenilworth Castle is a spectacular ruin, and of course, you can visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s house in Stratford.

Stoneleigh Abbey and Charlecote Park are also wonderful places to spend some time – Charlecote even has its own deer park!

Eating out

From Italian, Spanish, Thai, Chinese and Indian food, right through to good quality, traditional English pub grub - the variety of cultures that makes up Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth is reflected in the array of restaurants we have, restaurants to suit every palate – and every purse.
